The School of Engineering creates new information and solutions which serve the goals of sustainable development; key focus areas both in teaching and research include global warming, energy conservation and clean energy, and the sustainable use of natural resources. The wellbeing of the environment and health and safety of people as well as aesthetics all require new solutions, and we are doing our part in seeking them.
We collaborate closely with industry and the surrounding society since a practice-oriented approach and collaboratively funded research projects are characteristic of our activities. Usually, our master’s theses are done in collaboration with companies, which serves to carry on our strong culture of societal interaction and innovativeness.
